This page lets you load your Google Spreadsheets into Exhibit to browse, resort and plot them at your heart's content. For now it is missing many of the better features of Exhibit, such as facet browsing, configuring lens views, time lines and much more, but it's possible that will come to this format, too. Be sure you have marked surrounded all titles with {curly} {braces}. (For now, the first column is the label column, and it is treated as text, whether you like it or not. This will hopefully change. :-)
To try loading some prepopulated data sets from Google Spreadsheets, click the links in the left sidebar. To load your own, you need to find the feed URL of your spreadsheet. In the Publish tab on the far right at Google Docs, first make sure that you have published the sheet. At the bottom of the same panel, then click the "More publishing options" link. In the menu that shows up, choose the File format ATOM, and select the sheet of your choice. Then click Generate URL, and you'll be able to copy the URL and paste it in the URL field above. Press return, and your sheet is loaded.
The name of your sheet is shown on the top left. To change it, click the sheet's tab at Google Docs and choose "Rename". Have fun!
This message will self-destruct when you load an exhibition.
